Notes on a Place is a two parts series of Finnish artist Kimmo Metsäranta. Through pastel colors and a touch of minimalist architecture, this photographer wanted to bring us into ignored and trivial places of Helsinki, away from touristic areas that everyone knows in this city, namely museums, churches, parks and monuments. He defines his images as “monuments, isolated abstractions, modified interpretations, bare structures with only the essentials left”.
